Proposal

 

We propose to design the Rt. 36 Pedestrian Bridge in Sea Bright, NJ.  This bridge spans over Ocean Avenue allowing beach goers to get from the bay to the shore. It consists of 7 typical ramp spans each of 70 ft.  and one main crossing of 100 ft. over Ocean Avenue. The geotechnical and structural elements will be analyzed and designed for the bridge. All loadings will be analyzed using the AASHTO Pedestrain Bridge Specifications. Provided soil borings will also be analyzed and soil properties will be determined. We plan to design the girders, deck, piers, and foundations as well as the approach embankments, retaining walls, and abutments at the ramps.
